Nedlands Supports Own the Force

Nedlands RUFC is pleased to announce that the club has purchased eight A-class shares as part of the ‘Own the Force’ campaign being promoted by the Western Force.  Neddies Senior club President Peter Malcolm said “As a club that has benefited from the Western Force being based in Perth we felt as a club it was time to ‘pay back’ to the Force at a time when they now need the local rugby community’s support more than ever.  Perth grass roots rugby has grown and developed because of the Western Force, and by offering a pathway for Premier grade players to play Super Rugby I believe the standard of rugby in Perth generally, and at our club in particular has improved.  Having three Nedlands Premier grade players (Jermaine Ainsley, Michael Ruru and Anaru Rangi) now under contract to the Force provides great satisfaction to our club, and we can rightly be proud of their achievements”.  Both Neddies Juniors and Neddies Seniors will hold four shares each, and we hope this will help to ensure the Western Force remain in Perth for a long time to come as our own Super Rugby team.
