Neddies congratulates Mitch Drummond

Somewhere buried in halfback Mitchell Drummond’s rugby resume, lurking under a Super Rugby victory with the Crusaders and a couple of Mitre 10 Cups for Canterbury, is the fact that Mitch played his first game of open grade (senior) rugby for Neddies at the 2012 Borneo international sevens. There, he got to play with such Neddies luminaries as the Bus, Macca, Rat, Ben Titoko, Cam Crowley, the two Jakes (Wilson and Stevens), Chalky, Stardust and Dylan Loversidge.

Early Wednesday morning, Perth time, Mitch gets the opportunity to achieve his childhood dream of playing for the All Blacks, having been named on the bench by Steve Hansen in the New Zealand team to play a French XV in Lyon.

The Neddies club congratulates Mitch and wishes him all the best.
