11220080_919658931425060_249254743049986361_nRound 4 of the competition threw up some pretty big numbers as Neddies hosted Baysie in glorious conditions at The Foreshore.

While the biggest of those was the 89-12 scoreline, there were plenty of other numbers and stats to come out of the game.

Here are some of them, randomly selected by the Hulkster:

13 – the number of tries Neddies scored.

12 – the number of conversions Kauri Cudd slotted, including 10 on the trot before his only miss of the afternoon.

5 – the number of former colts in the Neddies forward pack (Tom Sheminant, Grayson Knapp, Drey, Tevin Ferris, Tui Roberts) And that’s not counting the injured Sam Offer and the absent surf life saver Drake Robson, nor the likes of Garth “Ziggy” Ziegler, Kauri Cudd and Giles McMeiken in the backs.

6 – the number of tries winger Brody Lam has scored already in the just first four games of the season.

5 – the number of tries centre Ammon Matuauto has scored already in just the first four games this season.

6 – the average number of tries Neddies has scored in the first four games of the season.

742 – the number of times Magnum told strangers that was his son Tui making his first grade debut.

742 – the number of times Magnum told strangers Tui scored a try on debut.

20+ – the number of years since Magnum made his debut for the infamous Neddies Nomads.

A sad note to the day was news of the passing of Neddies stalwart Graeme “Squire” Potts, who is remembered fondly by many in the Neddies fraternity. Rest in Peace Squire.

Saturday sees Neddies head to Hartfield Park to take on top-four team Kalamunda in what is always a tough game. It is a game where we also raise a glass to another local rugby stalwart who has left us,  Kala’s Jim Berry.

Be there. Be loud. Be proud. GO NEDDIES!!!
