To the Greater Nedlands Family, wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy Safe and Prosperous New Year.
You will be pleased to hear that we have finalised the senior coaching group for Prems and Reserve grade, a fantastic mix of youth and experience with all the coaches ex-Nedlands Premier Grade players with a wealth of Finals experience under their belts. The Coaching group is Sam Rarasea – Prems Head Coach, Will Brock – Reserves Head Coach, these to gents are backed up by Mason Pomare Prems Asst coach, Mike Botes and Dan Bailey Reserves Asst coaches.
Chris Naylor and Tim Badham are super enthusiastic to be handling the mighty Third grade. Fourth grade and the womens side are still looking for coaches requiring a firm hand and a relaxed disposition.
We have some new ideas coming in to the Senior Coaches ranks with an emphasis this year on helping improve our coaches beyond just sending them on the various ARU courses. To that end we have signed up legendary ex-player and Coach Tom Fearn to mentor the Senior Coaches throughout the season. We believe we need to have great coaches to attract good players to the club and this is a means to end in that regard. We look forward to seeing Toms coaching and mentoring paying off in the long term.
