Presidents Report – 8th August 2019

Presidents Report – 8th August 2019

Firstly well done to all the Coaches Players and Team managers of Premier, Reserves and Third Grade for making the Finals this year, to the lads of 4th Grade commiserations on not getting into the finals we need more of you to plan to be in Perth on game days.

Also many thanks to the Junior Coaches and all the parents who have helped the Juniors through this season.

Secondly many thanks to all the Volunteers that have been on the Senior and Junior committees this year, the volunteers who have done setups and knockdowns on game days for Juniors and Seniors, to the players who have helped coach the Juniors sides I thank you all.

To our mighty Third Half Organisers Josh Mylne and Rod Jones, thanks guys you are the glue that keeps our great supporters together and happy week in week out.

And to our faithful supporters many thanks for being there on game days, posting to the Facebook page or logging on and watching the live streamed games from wherever you are in the world.

Well the excitement is almost uncontainable within Perth City, The Wallabies and The All Blacks are in town and the fun kicks off tonight with ‘Steak Night’ at the club from 7pm onwards, if you havent been down this year make a point of coming along tonight watching the teams train and then mingling with whoever Richard and Lisa Vaughan have coerced along to the club.

9th August Friday is the Nedlands Long Lunch (apparently we aren’t supposed to use Bledisloe Cup, Wallabies or All blacks in the same sentence when discussing said Lunch but we all know what it is about) which is the biggest one we have done and is sold out!! To Quote the person in charge of the USA when he heard that it was going to be over 900 guests, “I wish I could pull off a deal like Nedlands have done, Great Names, Great People”

10th August – Saturday will be the mother of all hangovers after Fridays lunch and what better way to fix it will be walking across from East Perth with OPTUS Stadium lit up in Gold and having that first icy cold bevvy to fix your pounding head. Hope to see a lot of you there

If you get up early on Saturday shuffle down to our grounds as we have a juniors carnival on that I’m sure would be a great way to fix that head from Fridays lunch.

17th August – Saturday, come down to Nedlands for the Major Semi-final hosting all the 1 v 4 semifinal matches for 2019. Nedlands Premier Grade will be taking the field at 3pm (Very Imptant that you remember that all games before prems are scheduled 30 mins earlier than usual to allow for extra time) Prems kick off at 3:30 pm as usual.

18th August – Sunday, currently we are trying to get Thirds (11:40am) and Reserves(1:30pm) to both be playing at MacGillivray, we will keep you posted on the outcome of our request.

Have a great Bledisloe Weekend everyone and I will see most of you at the clubrooms thursday or Friday at the lunch or at the match on Saturday.
