Vale – Lyric Ngapera, Nedlands RUFC

Our sincerest condolences, thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of our Nedlands Womens Team and the Ellenbrook Rabbitohs Rugby League Club who lost one of their own during the week.
It is with deep sadness that we heard of the passing of Lyric Ngapera a member of both the Nedlands Womens team but also a stalwart of the Ellenbrook Rabbitohs Rugby League Club.
A public ceremony for Lyric will be held on Tuesday the 3rd of March at 3pm at Fremantle cemetery- West chapel
As Boogs Cooper the Neddies Womens Coach said
“It’s an opportunity for everyone that loved her to pay their respects and get to say goodbye to the angel she was x”
The loss of Lyric has shaken the core of our Womens team and as a club we must rally around them, offering our support as best we can.
Also there will be a talk for the girls with “Break the Psychol”, which is a suicide awareness group here in Perth. They will be coming to the club on thursday 5th March to meet and discuss and create awareness around suicide prevention. If anyone else would like to attend keep an eye out for the time this will be occurring.
The Ellenbrook Rabbitohs have posted up a beautiful tribute to Lyric on their Facebook page so please check it out and leave some comments.
As the Rabbitohs posted on their FB page
“Please know our doors are always open and we will be here for each other to support those who need someone to lean on” this applies at Nedlands too.

Come and talk it through, we have some great grief counselling connections within the club, so if you want to talk something through please contact the club. Any matter like this will be treated in strict confidence.
