NEDDIES RUGBY UNION

Established in 1934, “Neddies” is the most successful rugby club in Western Australia. 2022 was another sensational season for Neddies, with the club making the finals in all senior grades, winning Premierships in Reserve Grade, Fourths and Colts. To cap it off, Neddies won the WA Premier Club Champion award for a record 24th year!

Nedlands has won the Premier Grade Premiership flag a record 18 times. Up to 2020, the Club also appeared in the finals of the Premier Grade competition for an astonishing 37 years in a row – a record which reflects the winning culture at Neddies. The club fields teams in all grades from Colts through to Premier Grade, catering for casual players who just want a run around the field to elite level players. We have a strong emphasis on coaching and skills development.

Neddies offers a warm and friendly family environment and welcomes players and supporters from all cultures and backgrounds.

We are looking forward to another exciting and successful season. If you would like to be part of the Neddies success story, we’d love to have you on board. Apart from new players, the club always extends a warm welcome to new coaches, managers, administrators, volunteers, committee members and, of course, supporters.

Welcome on board Zac📣Meet our development staff! 📣Introducing Development Program Coach - Zac Guildford.I'm excited to join Nedlands Rugby as a player and coach for the 2024-2025 season. My passion for rugby started early, playing for Wairarapa Bush as a young man. I worked my way through the ranks, representing various New Zealand age-group teams, which led to playing for Hawke's Bay, the Hurricanes, the Crusaders, and the Waratahs. I was fortunate enough to earn 10 caps for the All Blacks and be part of the 2011 World Cup-winning team.Later in my career, I played for Waikato, as well as Clermont and Nevers in France. I also competed in sevens rugby, winning a Commonwealth Games medal in 2010.Having faced many challenges throughout my life, I’m passionate about supporting youth and up-and-coming rugby players who are striving for higher honours. I’m honoured to have found a close-knit family here at Nedlands, and my goal is to help nurture the next generation while winning many competitions with the senior team.I’m grateful to be a part of such an amazing club and look forward to leaving a lasting legacy. Remember, nothing comes easy, but through unity and hard work, we can achieve excellence! ... See MoreSee Less
